About

Mother, wife, aspiring photographer living in Utah with my husband, three kids.  Why “Black Salt”?  Well, besides being a fun name, I decided to combine a couple words that were relevant to my life.  “Black” is the color of my  dog.  I had never owned a dog until September of 2008 and it has completely changed my life.  In a good way!  The “Salt” represents the city that I moved to mid-life to start anew.  A new climate, a new landscape, new jobs, new focus.

Hope you enjoy my photos.  Feel free to give me constructive criticism (I know I have a lot to learn) – of course I love compliments, too.

My recommendation: to prevent websites from stealing your beautiful photos, I think you put a watermark on them (not sure if that is what they are called).

I can’t find an email address anywhere so I suppose I can post this here. I live in Portland, OR and this past Spring I found myself in my docs office quite a few times with some never ending sinus infections. Every time I was there I saw this brochure with a picture of a mother and her two children on the front. I stared at it every time thinking, “Why do those people look so familiar to me?”. It finally struck me that they bore an uncanny resemblance to you, Ella & Harry (the 3 of you being much purtier of course 🙂 Anyhow, I just wanted to share it with you as I thought it was amusing. I can’t seem to find a way to post it here but I could email it to you. My email is luckyloo77@gmail.com
